Question: You've got a great vertical jump, 37 inches. How did you get to be able to jump that high?
Answer: The way to jump higher is to jump a lot. I jump high on my jump shot. Just repetition.
Question: With that great vertical, you've probably had some good dunks. What's your best dunk?
Answer: Between the legs off of two feet coming down the middle. It wasn't in a game, but it was probably my best one.
Question: During your first game at the Marriott Center, you made eight 3-pointers. What was that like for you?
Answer: It was a lot of fun. It was like a dream to come out in the first game and play that well. It was awesome. I got the crowd behind me early in the season, which was nice. They were supportive the rest of the way.
Question: Your cousin's husband, Brock Reichner, is on the team. What's it like having him on the team?
Answer: He's a great guy. We have a lot of fun together. We spent a week together at a family reunion this summer. We have a lot of inside jokes from that. He's just someone I feel completely comfortable with. It's nice to have a family member on the team. Family's the most important thing.
Question: You served a mission for just a little while. What did you learn in that time?
Answer: The spirit in the MTC is the strongest of any place in the world because you have thousands of people trying to do a greater work and they're there for a good cause. The devotionals are amazing there. Unfortunately it didn't work out; sometimes you just have to make different plans in life.
Question: What's your favorite childhood memory of basketball?
Answer: My older brother and I would have intense one-on-one games in the back yard. Whoever would win would run inside and tell my mom. The first time I beat him I was really excited.
