Manhattan, Kan. (January 28, 2005)--In their first of a two match Kansas road trip, the 25th ranked BYU women's tennis team beat a good Kansas State team 4-3.
After losing the doubles point to the Wildcats, and with the top two singles players losing their matches to Kansas State, the Cougars stormed back at the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th singles spots to take the match.
Freshman Jennifer Miccoli made her blue and white debut as she shook of the rust to overcome Kansas State's Klimova in tough three set match. Jennifer took the first set 6-4, lost the second 3-6 and won the third 2-3 (ret.). Jennifer had been sidelined both in the fall and the start of this season because of an injury.
The Cougars are now 3-1 on the year with the Kansas Jayhawks coming up tomorrow at 5 p.m.
