The baseball series finale against UC Irvine has been canceled due to inclement weather and will not be rescheduled for a later date.
The two teams split the first two games with the Cougars (1-1) taking the series opener 5-1. The Anteaters recorded a 9-6 win Friday to improve to 6-2. UC Irvine had been ranked No. 17 by Collegiate Baseball and No. 19 by Baseball America magazines.
BYU is next scheduled to play on Feb. 24 (Thursday) when it starts a three-game series at San Jose State (3-4). There will be no live game stats or live audiocast of the BYU-SJS games. The Spartans have been idle since Feb. 13, having missed their last three games because of rain cancellations.
