PROVO -- BYU head football coach Bronco Mendenhall will serve as a keynote speaker on Wednesday, March 9 at the Big Business and Technology Expo in Orem. The event is free to the public.
"We're excited to have Coach Mendenhall participate in this year's expo," event manager Kendall Bennett said. "He has a lot of passion for what he is doing at BYU, and with the influence BYU Athletics has on our community, his remarks are certain to have an impact on this year's event."
Mendenhall will address event goers upstairs in the McKay Events Center, beginning at 2 p.m. (MT).
The Big Business and Technology Expo is regarded as the state's premier business event. In 2004, nearly 3,800 people attended the two-day event. This year, event organizers are estimating attendance to be over 4,000.
The expo will be held in the McKay Events Center on the campus of Utah Valley State College on March 9-10. The expo will be open to the public from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.
Other keynote speakers include Frank Abagnale, subject of the hit movie "Catch Me if You Can" starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio.
This year's expo will also feature a prime rib and salmon lunch provided by The Chef's Table. There is a $5 for charge for the meal.
