Question: How did you get started with the pre-game chest bump?
Answer: That started my sophomore year. It just kind of happened. Travis Hansen wanted something to pump him up and I'm the little guy and I didn't have much to do so I was the chest bump guy.
Question: You started wearing a headband last year, and then you stopped. What happened to it?
Answer: My dad didn't like it. He said it cut me off from the family. You might see it again this year. I might change it up a bit. We'll see.
Question: You've got some interesting heritage. Where are your ancestors from?
Answer: My great grandpa came over from Lebanon, my dad was born here.
Question: How many Lebanese basketball players to you think there are?
Answer: Very few. Probably none at BYU. We're not really the basketball build.
Question: You had to sit out some last year when you got sick. What was that like?
Answer: It was tough. I've never really had to sit out. The last time I missed a game was eighth grade. I just don't miss a game. The doctor said I had to sit out. I couldn't just tough it out. It was frus- trating. But I got through it and learned from it.
Question: How did you get started in basketball?
Answer: I grew up at the gym because my parents coached gymnastics. From the youngest age possible, I would be dribbling the ball and watching the basketball practices. That's when I decided I wanted to be a basketball player.
Question: If both your parents coach gymnastics why didn't you get involved?
Answer: My dad was actually a gymnast at Oregon, he was recruited by BYU, but he wasn't a member then. So he went to Oregon. He just wanted me do what I wanted. But I'm built more like a gymnast.
Question: What's your greatest contribution to the team?
Answer: I can push ball in transition and get some easy baskets, run the fast break.
