PROVO -- BYU, with a 17-8 overall record, opens up home play at Miller Park Wednesday, March 30 against UVSC.
Wednesday's match up will be the Cougars' final game before conference play begins. BYU currently leads the Mountain West Conference in team batting average (.333), slugging percentage (.566), on-base percentage (.411), and home runs (36). Junior Ashlyn Russell leads the MWC in home runs with 11 and senior Lauren Watson-Perry is third in the conference with 7.
The Cougars, coming off a difficult six-game road trip where they went 1-5 including four straight losses, are looking forward to playing on their home field for the first time this season.
BYU is scheduled to host UVSC Wednesday, March 30 at 3 p.m. and play a double-header in Salt Lake City against rival Utah on Saturday, April 2 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
