San Diego, California (April 28, 2005)--- 2 Cougars, Junior Nima Roshan and Sophomore James Ludlow, were named to the All-Mountain West Conference team. Both were also selected on the doubles team along with their partners-- Junior Jose Lechuga and Sophomore Dominik Kaufhold.
James Ludlow was also awarded the prestigious Sportsman of the Year award for his actions on and off the court. Always the solid competitor, Ludlow was voted because he never argues a call or yells at his opponent. Ludlow simply walks on the court with a smile, takes care of business and leaves with a smile.
Nima Roshan played one singles for BYU going 9-11 in singles while teaming up with teammate Jose Lechuga at one doubles for a12-9 record. This is the duo's second year on the team. Earlier in the year, Roshan upset New Mexico's Max Jones to hand the ace his only MWC loss of the year.
James Ludlow, a first year transfer from Boise State, hit the floor running during his first stint as a Cougar. The Salt Lake native was an impressive 12-8 in singles while he and sophomore Dominik Kaufhold combined for a 14-8 overall record.
