Cougar House V To Help Fund Football Helmets

PROVO, Utah (May 3, 2005) Springville city officials, BYU athletics administrators, members of BYU's football coaching staff as well as players, and Utah Valley Home Builders participants will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open Cougar House V, Thursday, May 5, at noon in Springville.

This year's Cougar House V, located at 1222 South 1530 West in Springville, has already been sold. A percentage of the Cougar House proceeds are going to fund the purchase of the new white football helmets that the BYU Football team will be wearing for the 2005 season.

Cougar House V located at the Camelot Village Development by ArrowStar Construction will be part of this year's Utah Valley Parade of Homes, May 7-21. The home includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two-car garage and unfinished basement and is fully landscaped.

The Cougar House project combines the generosity of several local groups. Developers donate a building lot each year who along with more than 60 member businesses from the Utah Valley Home Builders Association (UVHBA) donate the materials, labor, and expertise to build the home.

The proceeds of each Cougar House perpetually provide scholarships for BYU student athletes by funding an endowment at Brigham Young University. All five Cougar Houses have brought more than $700,000 to BYU Athletics.
