PROVO -- BYU Football recruit Brandon Howard won the 100-meter hurdles at the CIF Division-I Championships at Cerritos Community College on Saturday, May 21. Howard turned in a time of 14.14 in the event to finish with the top time in all four divisions.
Howard, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound, defensive back recruit also won three Ivy League titles earlier in the outdoor season. Howard won the 110-meter hurdles, the 300-meter hurdles and was a member of the Ivy League 4x100-meter relay team.
As the Division-I champion, Howard has qualified for and will compete in the hurdles in the California State High School Championships next weekend in Sacramento.
Howard signed a National Letter of Intent with the Cougars earlier this season, and will look to compete for playing time at cornerback this fall.
