Add a third All-American honor for BYU's Brandon Taylor as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced its 15th annual 2005 All-America Division I baseball teams Tuesday.

Taylor was named to the NCBWA's third team All-America squad. Earlier in the month he was also selected to the third team All-America squad by Collegiate Baseball magazine and to the College Baseball Foundation Honors Team.

The BYU junior third baseman was selected last week as the District VIII Player of the Year by the NCBWA and was the only player from the Mountain West Conference named to its All-America selections. Last week he was also drafted in the 17th round by the Chicago Cubs.

Taylor's accomplishments for 2005 also include: MWC Player of the Year, All-MWC, Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week (Collegiate Baseball) vs. Air Force, Pro-Line Cap National Hitter of the Week (NCBWA) vs. Utah, CSTV National Student-Athlete of the Week (April 24), three times to the College Baseball Foundation National (May 2, April 26 and April 5), MWC Co-Player of the Week vs. Air Force and MWC Co-Player of the Week vs. New Mexico St.
