COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- BYU middle blocker Lindsy Hartsock earned Mountain West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, marking her second career award.

A 6-4 junior from Inkom, Idaho, Hartsock led the Cougars to a 2-0 record last week at the UVSC/BYU Invitational in Provo. She started the week with nine kills, six digs and three total blocks in a sweep of Montana State. In a four-game win over Kansas, Hartsock tallied a career-high 20 kills, and collected match-highs in hitting efficiency (.633) and service aces (five). In game four vs. the Jayhawks, she scored four of BYU's last six points of the contest to solidify the victory. She also had three digs and an assist.

For the week, Hartsock averaged 4.14 kills, 1.29 blocks, 1.29 digs, 0.41 assists and 0.71 aces per game, while turning in a hitting percentage of .540 and tallying 19.25 points per contest. On the season, she leads the Cougars in hitting percentage (.467) and service aces (0.58), ranking second in the MWC in both categories.
