Three camps start this month for the BYU Winter Baseball Academy 2005 at the Indoor Practice Facility.
This coming week is the Elite Pitching Camp on Dec. 9 from 6:30-9:30 and Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to Noon.
The Elite Hitting Camp will be the same hours on Dec. 16-17. And the annual Christmas Camp will be on Dec. 29-30, starting at 9 a.m., both days. The camps are under the instruction of BYU coaches Vance Law, Ryan Roberts, Bobby Applegate and Brad Eagar.
The three areas of the Christmas Camp are pitching (mechanics, fielding, pick-offs), defense (overall skill at individualizing defense positions) and hitting (individualized mechanics, BYU hitting drills, BYU hitting workout).
The BYU Baseball Academy is available to boys ages 9--18, but participants will be grouped according to age and skill level.
