PROVO -- BYU women's soccer coach Jennifer Rockwood was recently named a Soccer Buzz Runner-Up Coach of the Year.
Rockwood, who finished her eleventh season at BYU, boasts a 180-58-14 career record and has led the Cougars to eight NCAA appearances in the last nine years, including an Elite Eight finish in 2003. After a rebuilding season in 2004 when BYU finished 7-10-4, Rockwood revamped her offense, an offense that led the 2005 team to a 15-2-4 record and the No. 23 national ranking.
Garrett Smith from Portland was named Coach of the Year, while Ali Khosroshahin of Cal State Fullerton was the other runner-up.
