PROVO -- Coming off its most productive offensive week in program history, BYU looks to remain hot as it takes on three in-state opponents.

The Cougars (28-14, 8-2 MWC) will take a break from conference play when they head to Logan to take on Utah State in a Tuesday doubleheader before hosting Utah Valley State on Thursday. On Saturday BYU will return to the road and MWC play when they take on Utah.

Led by Ianeta Le`i who hit six home runs and tallied 19 RBI, the Cougars scored a total of 68 runs in six games last week. BYU posted a .409 team batting average last week.

"Last week's performance is as good of an offensive performance that I've seen as a coach," BYU head coach Gordon Eakin said. "We hope that we can carry that momentum into this week's games."

At 8-2 in MWC play, the Cougars remain one game behind league-leading San Diego State going into this week's action. BYU split a double-header with Utah State earlier in the season, cruising to a 7-0 victory in the first game but losing the second in extra innings. The Cougars are 11-0 all-time against the Wolverines. BYU swept Utah in a two-game series earlier this season. The Utes' Jackie Wong leads the MWC in hitting with a .443 batting average while

Karina Cannon is second in the conference with a 1.87 ERA.
