SEATTLE -- The BYU women's golf team had a busy day Monday as the No. 22 Cougars played in two different tournaments across the country.
Five players competed at the 25th annual Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational held at the Sahalee Country Club in Seattle, Wash.
Natalia Jimenez and Rachel Newren are currently tied for 11th place after the first round of play with a 3-over-par, 75. Freshman Daphne Vines is tied for 27th place.
Five other Cougars competed at the Bronco Fall Invitational hosted by Boise State.
Hannah Summerhays led the Cougars with a 145. Summerhays not only led the team but also had a career-best round of 70.
"As a team, I think we played really well," said assistant coach Dave DeSantis, who attended the Bronco Fall Invitational. "I think we should do very well in the tournament."
Play will continue Tuesday morning for both teams. Golfstat will post live scores for the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational starting at 10 a.m. PST
