BYU junior guard Mallary Gillespie has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the week, earning her third honor of the season and her career.

The Vineyard, Utah, native scored in double figures for the 16th time this season with a career-high 31 points at Wyoming. She netted 15 of her 31 points on 5-for-7 shooting beyond the arc, while shooting 10-for-14 overall against the Cowgirls. She then totaled eight points at Colorado State for a 19.5 scoring average on the week.

In the two games, Gillespie was 13-for-29 (.448), including 7-for-15 (.467) from three point range. She totaled nine rebounds, six assists and one steal and was 6-for-7 (.857) from the charity stripe.

On the Cougar team, she ranks second in points in league games with an average of 14.5 points, is second in assists with 3.3 per game, and fourth in steals with a total of 10 in conference games. Gillespie's other two MWC honors were on Dec. 18 and on Feb. 5.
