PROVO -- For the second time in the past four years, the BYU football poster was named the best poster in college athletics among all sports by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The poster was designed by Dave Broberg, BYU's Athletic Publications Director, with photos taken by BYU Photographer Mark Philbrick.
"Dave (Broberg) is one of the most talented graphic designers in college athletics," said BYU associate athletic director Duff Tittle. "To have your work honored as the very best in the nation twice in the past four years is a major accomplishment. We are fortunate to have someone as talented as Dave on our staff."
The 2006 "Band of Brothers" poster took first place overall in Division 1. There were 92 entries submitted to the CoSIDA Poster Contest. The BYU poster finished ahead of schools such as Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Illinois, who all finished in the top 10.
Last year's baseball poster was named No. 1 in the nation by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators.
Broberg has been the Athletic Publications Director for nearly eight years. In that time, he and his staff have won dozens of regional and national awards for posters, media guides and other promotional materials.
