PROVO -- Senior Jennifer Whiteley has been named to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Second Team.
The honor is the first for the outfielder from Houston, Texas. Whiteley, who is majoring in mathematics education, has a 3.76 GPA. Earlier this season, she was named to the 2007 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team. In 2006, Whiteley made the CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-Region Second Team. She is also a three-time Scholar Athlete and was named Academic All-Conference in 2005.
Whiteley led the Mountain West Conference in hits (82) and batting average (.416) this season.
