Albuquerque, N.M. (Sept. 15, 2007) ? After three rounds of play at the William H. Tucker Classic, the tournament ended Saturday with BYU tied for 13th place and sophomore Nick Killpack leading all Cougars tied for 26th place at 6-over-par.

?We went from 15th to ninth or 10th today at times,? BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank said. ?We made a lot of bogeys coming in, and I think it just has to do with everyone trying so hard. The greens were fast and the hole locations were tough, but there were signs of some pretty good stuff out there.?

Killpack shot 76-71-75?222 on the par-72 University of New Mexico Championship Course, which was set at 7,354 yards. Following Killpack on the BYU roster were sophomore Robbie Fillmore tied for 35th at 8-over-par 224, freshman Esteban Calisto at 12-over-par 228.

The tournament consisted of 90 players from 17 teams. The overall individual winner was Jesse Barnsley of Pepperdine University who shot 12-under-par 66-67-71?204. Barnsley also led the Waves to the team victory as well as they shot even-par as a team to win by four strokes over San Diego State.

The Cougars next tournament will be the Husky Invitational in Bremerton, Wash. on Oct. 1-2.
