LAS -- The BYU men's tennis team will continue competition at the Wilson ITA Division I Mountain Regional Championships on Saturday with two doubles teams participating in the doubles consolation draw.
After losing a tough 8-5 match against a solid UNLV pair, Cassidy Mears and Jonathan Sanchez will work to advance through the third round of consolation. The Cougars will challenge Montana State's Justin Hauck and Pawel Turzanski.
A pair of freshman, Thomas Shubert and Thomas Young, recorded two wins on Friday against opponents from Utah State and Northern Arizona.
Shubert will also enter the singles consolation draw tomorrow when he faces Idaho's Stanislav Glukhov.
The singles consolation matches will begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning, with the doubles consolation matches following at 10:30 a.m. All matches will be played at the Amanda & Stacy Darling Memorial Tennis Center in Las Vegas.
