PROVO -- For the second year in a row, BYU junior forward Katie Larkin was named to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Women's Division I All-America Third Team. She and three of her teammates also received All-West Region recognition as well.
Larkin, a native of Draper, Utah, led the No. 22 Cougars with 15 goals, five assists, 72 shots, and 42 shots on goal in 2007. In addition to her All-America honors, she was named to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division I Women All-West Region First Team.
Joining Larkin with postseason awards were senior keeper Erika Woodbury of Murrieta, Calif., sophomore defender Andrea Willis of Riverside, Calif., and freshman forward Kassidy Christensen of Bountiful, Utah. Woodbury and Willis were named to the All-West Region Second Team, while Christensen earned All-West Region Third Team accolades.
Woodbury is BYU's all-time leading goalkeeper with school records in career shutouts (40), shutouts in a single season (13 in 2007), career saves (261), and shutouts in a row (eight to start the 2007 campaign).
Willis was an anchor on a defense that allowed only 11 goals in 2007 and 22 total in her first two seasons on the Cougar squad. Christensen ranked second on the team in goals scored (7), points (16), game-winners (four), and shots (48).
