A pair of standout prep righthanded pitchers have signed baseball letters of intent with BYU
Marc Oslund of West High in Torrance, Calif., and Nathan Bunch from Hazen High in Renton, Wash., inked Spring letters with BYU to join the eight previous signees from last November.
"We are excited to add these two talented young pitchers to our team," said BYU coach Vance Law. "They both will have the opportunity to figure prominently in our future success here at BYU. Not only are they talented pitchers but are high character young men as well."
Marc Oslund, 6-4, 215, had an 8-0 record as a pitcher and also played quarterback in football. He had a 10-inning performance at Palos Verdes throwing 129 pitches for the three-time Bay League Champions.
Nathan Bunch, 6-3, 180, was 4-1 with a 1.15 ERA as the MVP and first-team all Seamount League. He struck out 16 in a one-hitter during an April game. He recently struck out five in two innings at the Perfect Game Nationals in Iowa and played on the Under Armour National Team.
