PROVO -- The Tennis Recruiting Network presented its Top 25 Mid-Major Women's Recruiting Classes for 2008 on Monday, with BYU claiming the No. 1 spot.

Head Coach Craig Manning already has three strong commitments for 2008-09, starting with Blue Chip commit McCall Jones. Jones reached the quarterfinals of the prestigious Easter Bowl this past April in both singles and doubles.

Aussie Megan Price, who will graduate in November and enroll in January, is one of Australia's top juniors in singles and close to the top of the list when it comes to doubles. Romina Nedakovic - an in-state 4-Star recruit - rounds out the quartet.

The mid-major rankings include all colleges in all divisions except for those in the so-called "major conferences". The major conferences for tennis include schools affiliated with Bowl Championship Series conferences - the ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 10, and SEC - as well as the Ivy League.

Other Mountain West Conference schools to make the Top 25 list include TCU at No. 4 and San Diego State at No. 20. For the full list of rankings visit www.tennisrecruiting.net.
