LEHI -- The second annual Deseret First Duel Rivalry Cup presented by Ken Garff will be held Thursday, July 3, at Thanksgiving Point Golf Club. The event, which pits Brigham Young University fans, coaches and alumni against their University of Utah counterparts, will be highlighted by appearances from BYU captain, Billy Casper and Utah captain, Bruce Summerhays. Others expected to compete include Tom Holmoe, Dave Rose, Robbie Bosco, Jim Boylen, and Chris Hill.

The morning shotgun will feature the celebrities and coaches playing head to head and the afternoon flight will feature the fan face-off. The morning score will be carried into the afternoon allowing the fans to decide the outcome of the Cup. The winning team's flag will fly above the clubhouse at Thanksgiving Point through the 2008 football season.

The Deseret Duel Rivalry golf tournament is a two-person best ball match play format. Win your match and you'll win a point for your team. The team with the most overall points wins the Cup and the bragging rights.

Utah won the inaugural event by a slim one-point victory in 2007. Space is limited, so sign up today for the 2008 Deseret First Duel Rivalry Cup presented by Ken Garff.

Each participant will receive the official team shirt and hat.
