PROVO -- For the second time this season and the third in her career, junior defender Andrea Willis has been named to the SoccerBuzz Elite team of the Week.
A defensive force for the Cougars, Willis had one shot and one assist last week in BYU's wins over UNLV and San Diego State. Her consistent play helped the Cougars extend three different streaks. BYU is now 6-0 at home, and has not allowed a goal in the past four games. The team is also 3-0 in MWC play, for the first time since 2002.
The Cougars are on the road this week as they face off against TCU in Fort Worth on Oct. 16 at 12:00 p.m. The team then travels to Albuquerque to take on the New Mexico Lobos at 12:00 on Saturday, Oct. 18. TCU and New Mexico are in second and third place, respectively, in the MWC behind the Cougars.
BYU returns to the friendly confines of South Field on Oct. 25 when they host Air Force in a game that will kick off at 7:00 p.m.
