PROVO -- Freshman keeper McKinzie Olson was named to the TopSoccerDrawer.com All Rookie 2nd team, the website announced.
Olson, from Cottonwood Heights, Utah, started 17 of the 19 games she played in this season, her first with the Cougars. She posted 14 shutouts during the season, including the 2-0 victory over Virginia Tech in BYU’s first win in the NCAA tournament in five years. Olson compiled a goals-against-average of 0.49. She only allowed nine goals all season, and only one in conference play. Olson had shutout streaks of three, five and six games during the season, and made 71 saves.
