PROVO -- Just in time for the holiday season comes BYU Football Vault: History of the Cougars — the most comprehensive book ever created about BYU football.

The 144-page hardcover book recounts the rise of BYU football from the forgotten years in the early 1890s, through the rebirth of football in the 1920s, to the glory days of LaVell Edwards and the current success under Bronco Mendenhall.

The oversized “scrapbook” contains dozens of never-before-published photographs, artwork and memorabilia drawn from BYU’s archives and vast photo vaults. Tucked into numerous pockets are reproductions of old photos, programs, historic tickets, postcards and other memorabilia, including the Ty Detmer promotional tie and the Jason Buck “One Buck” campaign.

Written by Duff Tittle and published by Whitman Publishing, the full-color book contains a foreword by Bronco Mendenhall and an afterword by hall of fame coach Lavell Edwards. It is the perfect holiday gift for the diehard BYU football fan.

The book is currently on sale at the BYU Bookstore and other retail stores around the country. It can also be purchased online by clicking HERE. BYU Football Vault will also be available at other retail stores across the country by the end of November.
