PROVO -- Registration for the 2009 BYU Summer Soccer Camps opens Feb. 10. Campers will have the opportunity to train with and learn from coaches and players of the back-to back MWC champions. BYU women’s soccer team advanced to the second round of the 2008 NCAA tournament. The Cougars finished ranked #21 in the nation and as high as #15 in the NCAA RPI Index.
Camp Dates:
Cub Camps (ages 6-12)
Camp I: June 1–4, 8:00am–noon
Mini Cub Camp, June 1-4, 1-3pm
Camp II: July 6–9, 8:00am–noon
Overnight Camps (ages 10-18)
Camp I: June 8–11, (ages 10–15)
Camp II: July 13–16, (ages 12–18)
Camp III: July 20–23, (ages 12–18)
Camp IV: July 27–30, (ages 12–18)
“I hope that you will come and join us for a fantastic week of soccer," said BYU head coach Jennifer Rockwood. "We have a lot planned for everyone to enjoy. Lots of soccer training, games, scrimmages and new friends to meet.”
Participants in the camp will receive four days of specialized training from BYU women’s soccer head coach Jennifer Rockwood, assistant coaches Chris Watkins, Aleisha Rose and several current and former BYU players.
Camps are available for both boys and girls, and include special keeper training sessions for players of all skill levels and experiences. Camps are a great opportunity to get to know the BYU soccer program and coaches. The boys camp will be under the direction of the mens Head Coach, Chris Watkins.
