PROVO, Utah — BYU football will conduct a spring practice open to fans on Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m. MDT at BYU’s west campus field (formerly Provo High School).
Fans attending will get a glimpse of the 2019 squad and the preparations made during spring practices by the players and coaches. The open practice will include warmup and individual drills, 7-on-7 work and 11-on-11 scrimmage sessions.
The event is, free to the public, with the gates on the east side opening at 10 a.m. Parking is available in the lot east of the field as well as the student lot across the street, north of the Indoor Practice Facility.
A kids’ football clinic will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the field. A BYU Fan Fest, with activities for families, BYU inflatables, photo opportunities and more, will start at 11 a.m. on the fields to the south and continue during the open practice.
Merchandise from the BYU Store, BYU concessions and food trucks will be available throughout the event.

This year the spring open practice also coincides with the annual BYU Football Alumni Day. Prior to the 1 p.m. practice, former Cougars will play an alumni game at 11:30 a.m. on the field. Several greats of the past will also be on hand to watch practice as part of their alumni day activities.
BYU’s spring practices conclude on March 29. The Cougars open the 2019 season against Utah at LaVell Edwards Stadium on August 29 as part of a home schedule that also includes USC, Washington, Boise State, Liberty and Idaho State. For tickets, visit byutickets.com.
