ST. GEORGE, Utah — BYU women’s golf will host the BYU at Entrada Classic on March 9-10 at the Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club in St. George, Utah.
“We are excited to host at Entrada,” BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. “We look forward to this event and to having friends and family come watch us compete.”
The Cougars are coming off back-to-back fourth-place finishes at the Rebel Beach Intercollegiate and The Gold Rush. BYU has placed in the top-five in five of their seven tournaments so far this season and hopes to add another top finish next week at its home event.
Eleven other teams will compete alongside the Cougars at Entrada, including WCC foe Santa Clara and in-state opponents Southern Utah and Utah Valley. BYU placed fifth at last season’s tournament and won it the year before.
The Cougars have recorded eight team wins at the Entrada Classic throughout the tournament’s 34-year history. In addition, eight different Cougars have won the event individually, including Roberts and assistant coach Juli Erekson. Roberts took first in 1999 and 2001, while Erekson won in 2008.
Teams will play two 18-hole rounds on Monday and one on Tuesday. Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. MDT both days in a shotgun start format. Live stats and the leaderboard will be available on Golfstat.com.
