SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Following the conclusion of the 2020-21 academic year, the West Coast Conference has released the 2020-21 WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll which recognizes student-athletes that have balanced athletic success with academic excellence.

Keanu Akina, Austin Banz, Max Brenchley, Kelton Hirsch, Cole Ponich, Brock Stanger, David Timmins and Elijah Turner were all named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Role. Akina and Hirsch earned silver honors while Banz, Brenchley, Ponich, Stanger, Timmins, and Turner earned bronze honors.

This is the tenth year that the WCC has honored student-athletes for their successes in the classroom and in their respective sports through the annual Commissioner’s Honor Roll. There was no Commissioner’s Honor Roll released in 2019-20 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To be considered for this honor, student-athletes must meet the following requirements:

1) Individuals must have earned a varsity letter in a sport which the conference determined a champion in the recently completed academic year.

2) The cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 must be based on a 4.0 scale.

3) The individuals must have successfully completed an average of at least 12 graded credit hours (non pass-fail hours) per term. The conference recognizes those on the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll in three separate categories:

4.00-3.75 - Gold Honors
3.74-3.50 - Silver Honors
3.49-3.00 - Bronze Honors
