Cougs host Aggies for Senior Night Celebration on Friday evening

PROVO, Utah — The BYU women’s gymnastics team looks to take on the Aggies in the Smith Fieldhouse on Friday evening for senior night.

Six BYU seniors will be recognized after the meet: Anyssa Alvarado, Sarah Barron, Lindsey Hunter, Allix Mason, Rebekah Ripley and Elease Rollins.

BYU traveled to Logan earlier this season, beating the Aggies with a season-high 196.650. The Cougars notched their highest beam score this season in the Spectrum with a 49.350 following two career highs.

THE AGGIES. The Utah State Aggies last competed at SUU on Friday, Feb. 17 where they fell to the Thunderbirds 197.125-196.175. Notching their highest score of the season, the Aggies had their season-best team score on beam with a 49.075. 

THE COUGARS. The BYU Cougars last competed in Boise, Idaho in the ExtraMile Arena on Friday, Feb. 17 against the Broncos. Posting their second-lowest team score of the season, the Cougars fell to Boise State 196.500-194.925. Despite the loss, BYU’s senior beam captain Elease Rollins earned her fourth MRGC accolade with Co-Beam Specialist of the Week after notching a 9.925 on the apparatus.
