PROVO, Utah — BYU returns home for its final three-game series of the 2023 season, taking on West Coast Conference foe Pepperdine, May 18-20, at Miller Park. First pitch for the Thursday and Friday games is scheduled for 6 p.m. MDT, with the Saturday game slated to begin at 1 p.m. MDT.
BROADCAST PLANS. All three games will be broadcast live on the BYUtv App and online at BYUtv.org, with the Friday and Saturday games simulcast on BYUtv. Dave McCann and Gary Sheide will provide play-by-play and analysis for the television broadcasts.
The games will also air live on the BYU Radio App and 107.9 FM in northern Utah with the Voice of the Cougars Greg Wrubell on the call.

SERIES HISTORY. Thursday’s contest will be the 58th meeting between BYU and Pepperdine in baseball dating back to 1954. The Cougars are 25-31-1 all-time versus the Waves and 16-16 in conference play since joining the WCC for the 2011-12 season.
Last year, BYU swept the three-game series in Malibu, California. The Cougars are 11-7 all-time versus the Waves in Provo and 14-22-1 at Pepperdine. The two teams have played two neutral-site games at the University of the Pacific in 2015 and 2016 as part of the WCC Tournament, with Pepperdine winning both games.

PEPPERDINE REVIEW. The Wave enters Thursday’s game with a record of 18-28 and are 7-17 in conference play. The Waves went 1-3 last week, including a 10-7 win on Tuesday at Cal State Northridge and a 0-3 series loss to LMU over the weekend.
COUGAR RECAP. BYU is 22-27 on the year and 11-12 in WCC play. The Cougars went 3-1 last week, including a 13-7 win over Utah at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City giving BYU the season series, 2-1. The Cougars also took the weekend series from Pacific in Stockton, California, 2-1.
SENIOR CELEBRATION. BYU baseball will recognize 11 seniors prior to the final home game of the year on Saturday. Included are Peyton Cole, Josh Cowden, Austin Deming, Cole Gambill, Reid McLaughlin, Chase Peterson, Bryce Robison, Ryan Sepede, Carter Smith, Jack Sterner and Jacob Wilk.
