PROVO, Utah — BYU swim and dive announced its 2023-2024 season schedule on Monday.

“We have just finished a great summer of training and competing long course,” said swimming head coach Shari Skabelund. “We have coaches and athletes that continue to work hard each day to be our best. We are excited and ready for the Big 12.”

Following the annual Alumni Meet on Sept. 9 and Blue/White Meet on Sept. 15, the Cougars open the season Sept. 29-30 at the Intermountain Shootout in Grand Junction, Colorado.

BYU then takes to the road for two fall dual meets, first at TCU on Oct. 13, then at UNLV on Nov. 3. 

Mid-November sees swimmers and divers divide for competition at the Mizzou Invitational (swimmers, Nov. 15-18) and SMU Invite (divers, Nov. 15-17). Select BYU swimmers will then compete at the Toyota U.S. Open in Greensboro, North Carolina Nov. 29-Dec. 2.

The Cougars remain on the road to start January with trips to the FIU Sprint Invite (Jan. 2), Denver Tri-Meet (Jan. 12-13, swimmers) and UCLA Invite (Jan. 12-13, divers).

BYU closes the regular season with two home meets, first a Tri-Meet with Air Force and Colorado Mesa Jan. 19-20, then a senior day rivalry showdown with Utah Feb. 9-10.

The program’s inaugural Big 12 Swim and Dive Championship appearance comes Feb. 27-March 2 in Morgantown, West Virginia at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park.

Qualifying Cougar athletes close the season with opportunities to compete at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships (March 11-13), National Invitational Championships (March 14-16) or at the NCAA Swim and Dive Championships. The NCAA’s women’s meet will be held in Athens, Georgia March 20-23 while the men’s edition will run March 27-30 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
