Men
Coming off of a third place finish at last year's NCAA Cross Country Championships, the men's cross country program ranks third in the national preseason poll.
The Cougars return All-Americans Casey Clinger and twins Davin and Creed Thompson to the roster. 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championship competitors Aidan Troutner and Joey Nokes will also bring experience to the group.
The men will travel to No. 10 Virginia on Sept. 23 and No. 5 Wisconsin on Oct. 13. They will then face off against No. 2 Oklahoma State at the Big 12 Championships on Oct. 28.
Other Big 12 teams in the top 25 rankings include No. 13 Texas and No. 25 Iowa State.

Women
Returning from an eighth place finish at last year's NCAA Cross Country Championships, the women improve to a seventh place finish in the preseason poll.
This year's squad returns three-time cross country All-American Aubrey Frentheway and 2022 All-American Lexy Halladay-Lowry. Anastaysia Davis, Alissa Fielding and Carmen Alder also return from last year's eighth place team.
The women will travel to No. 10 Oregon at the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Sept. 22 and No. 11 Virginia on Oct. 14. They will then face Big 12 foes in No. 3 Oklahoma State at the Big 12 Championships on Oct. 28.
