LAWRENCE, Kansas — The BYU at Kansas football game scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT and be broadcast live on ESPN from David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in Lawrence.

BYU has played Kansas just once in football, falling to the Jayhawks, 23-20, on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1992, in the Aloha Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Kansas is coached by Lance Leipold who is currently 10-17 in his third season. The Jayhawks are 2-0 in 2023 with wins over Missouri State, 48-17, and Illinois, 34-23.

The Cougars are also 2-0 on the year with victories over Sam Houston State, 14-0, and Southern Utah, 41-16. BYU is coached by Kalani Sitake, who is 58-34 since taking over the BYU football program in 2016.

The game at Kansas is the Cougars first Big 12 game since joining the conference on July 1, 2023.
