ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – Zac Jones earned a top-10 finish at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate as BYU men’s golf finished seventh after shooting 7-under-par at the University of New Mexico Championship Course on Tuesday.
The Cougars carded rounds of 289-282-286—857 at the two-day tournament while making four eagles and 64 birdies collectively.
“Like our first event in Cincinnati, we just didn’t have one of those rounds that separated us from the field,” said Todd Miller, BYU’s Director of Golf. “We played solid two of the three rounds and had some fantastic individual performances but didn’t put it together as a team.”
Zac Jones snagged a top-10 finish as he fired rounds of 69-73-68—210 to finish at 6-under-par. The junior carded 17 birdies in 54 holes, making seven on the final day.
