BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – BYU women’s golf finished eighth at the Dale McNamara Invitational, led by Adeline Anderson’s five-under-par, 67, final round on her 21st birthday.

“Proud of our last two rounds,” said head coach Carrie Roberts. “I’m super happy that Adeline played so well on her birthday. We are trending in the right direction, and it felt good to put together a couple of solid team rounds.”

Anderson carded rounds of 75 and 71 on Monday before shooting a career-low 67 on Tuesday to finish three-under-par for the tournament and tied for sixth. The junior carded five birdies and an eagle to finish the final round five-under.

“During today's round, I felt like I was hitting my approach shots very well,” said Anderson. “I just felt the number and put a confident swing on it. It was super fun out there when I chipped in to make birdie and holed out for eagle from 86 yards. I’m excited for the next tournament in Miami in a few weeks, but until then, we will just keep tuning up my game.”
