Men’s basketball heads to Big 12 Tipoff on Wednesday

PROVO, Utah — BYU head men’s basketball coach Mark Pope, Spencer Johnson, Dallin Hall and Fousseyni Traore will represent the Cougars at Big 12 Tipoff presented by Old Trapper at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. on Oct. 18.

Big 12 Tipoff is a two-day event, beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 17, with the women followed by the men on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

The Cougars will meet with local, regional and national media in various capacities during the morning session, including appearances on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ at 9 a.m. MT. Pope will hold a 10-minute press conference at 9:10 a.m. MT.

BYU opens the 2023-24 season on Monday, Nov. 6, when the Cougars host Houston Christian at the Marriott Center. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Fans can get an early look at the Cougars in the annual Blue-White game on Wednesday, Oct. 25, and exhibition contest on Wednesday, Nov. 1, against Life Pacific. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
