PROVO, Utah – BYU welcomes Life Pacific to the Marriott Center for the Cougars' first exhibition of the Big 12 era on Wednesday, November 1. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Wednesday’s contest will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and BYUtv. Greg Wrubell and Mark Durrant will also be on the call on the BYU Sports Network on the BYU Radio app.

  • The Cougars were picked to finish 13th in the Big 12 Preseason Poll, voted on by the league’s 14 head coaches.
  • Fousseyni Traore was one of 20 players named to the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Watchlist. The junior was also named one of the Top 100 players in the nation by The Almanac.
  • BYU returns 68.3 percent of its scoring from last season led by Traore, who led the team in scoring and rebounding.
  • Spencer Johnson is back for his final season in Provo after averaging a career-best 11.1 points per game. He also shot 46.1 percent from 3-point range, the 12th highest percentage in a single season in program history.

  • Life Pacific makes the trek to Provo from San Dimas, Calif. at 1-0 on the season after defeating Stanton, 72-57, it its season opener last week.
  • Jordan Jones finished with a team-high 18 points in the Warriors season opener, going 7-of-11 from the floor and 1-of-4 from 3-point range.
  • The Warriors also played Cal State Fullerton in an exhibition on Saturday, falling 96-64 to the Titans. Anthony Matute finished with a team-high 16 points as the sophomore went 6-of-12 from the floor.
