SAN DIEGO — Junior's Jacque Dunyon and Bobo Huang, representing BYU, are gearing up for the prestigious ITA National Fall Championships beginning tomorrow in California. This dynamic doubles duo marks the second consecutive year that BYU has sent a doubles team to this tournament, which will unfold at the Barnes Tennis Center.
The ITA National Fall Championships stands as the biggest event of the collegiate fall tennis season, and 2023 signifies another year where the Cougars have staked their claim in this competition. Notably, last year, Huang and Emilee Astle represented the Cougars and faced a tough first-round match against Michigan's Jaedan Brown and Kari Miller, ultimately falling with a scoreline of 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 3-10.
This year, the stage is set for 32 women's doubles teams to vie for the championship, with Dunyon and Huang stepping onto the court this Wednesday. Stay tuned for the forthcoming tournament draws.
