PROVO, Utah — BYU swim and dive will compete athletes at the Mizzou Invitational in Columbia, Missouri and SMU Invite in Dallas, Texas Nov. 15-18.

Opponents Preview

BYU men’s and women’s swimming ventures into SEC country this week as it competes at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. The indoor 50-meter, 8.5-feet deep, eight-lane pool will host BYU, Big 12 counterparts TCU and Kansas, along with San Jose State, Florida International, Lindenwood and Division II’s Missouri S&T.

The No. 20-ranked Missouri men have seven individuals with top-50 times currently as well as four top-50 relay squads. Five Missouri women’s swimmers are ranked in the top-50 along with the program’s 200 medley relay team. The TCU men and women combine to bring 13 top-50 times into the meet while Lindenwood boasts six.

Opponents Preview

BYU men’s and women’s diving returns to the Dallas-Forth Worth area for the second time this season with competition at the SMU Invite. The meet pits BYU divers against those from SMU, Hawaii, Yale and Division II’s Drury (Springfield, Missouri).

The host Mustangs enter the meet with four top-50 ranked divers.

Rankings Review

Jordan Tiffany and Brad Prolo remain the top-two ranked BYU swimmers. Tiffany’s 45.86 in the 100 fly is good for fifth nationally while Prolo’s 1:45.15 in the 200 fly is deadlocked with Sam Artmann of No. 7 Texas. Tiffany and Prolo have also helped both 200 and 400 medley relay squads to early season top-40 rankings.
