Schedule Notes

First Big 12 Season

As the Cougars embark on their maiden season in the Big 12 Conference, they join a league that boasts two of the last three national championships in women's tennis (Texas in 2021 and 2022).

BYU will face each Big 12 school once, initiating the conference play against UCF in Orlando on Thursday, Feb. 29. The Cougars' first home conference match is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, against Kansas State. Senior day and the season finale will take place in Provo on Saturday, April 13, against West Virginia.

Future Conference Mates

In 2024, the Cougars will compete against two future Big 12 members. BYU starts with a match at Arizona beginning on Friday, Jan. 18, for the Hidden Dual, followed by a trip north to Salt Lake to face in-state rival Utah on Friday, Feb. 9.

In-State Foes

In addition to the home opener against Weber State, BYU will travel to Cache Valley for a matchup against Utah State on Friday, Feb. 2. The Cougars dominated both the Wildcats (7-0) in Ogden and the Aggies (7-0) in Provo last year. Following a victory over the No. 44 ranked Utes (4-0) in Provo, BYU will once again face Utah in 2024.

Home Court Advantage

BYU boasts a strong 31-11 home record over the past five years. The 2024 schedule includes eight home matches, providing the Cougars with more opportunities to strengthen their home record. BYU will host six Big 12 Conference teams, marking the inaugural season for the Cougars in the league.

Dates and times for each match are subject to change. Any necessary updates, including match changes, streaming options, attendance information, and results—will be shared on the team’s website and social media accounts.
