PROVO, Utah – Isaac Davis has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for BYU men’s basketball in 2024-25, head coach Mark Pope announced on Wednesday morning.

“I walked out of Section 7 event this summer with 1,000s of the top players all up and down the western United States with no doubt in my mind that Isaac Davis was the most physically dominant player at the entire event,” Pope said. “He has a really special joy and passion about his game. He is a multi-dimensional player, who is at the elite level of the game as a passing forward. He’s physical and tenacious as a defender, and we believe that he is going to grow into an elite-level shooter.”

Davis, a 6-foot-7 forward, enters his senior season at Hillcrest High School as three-star recruit and top prospect in the State of Idaho according to 247Sports. Last season as a junior, he averaged 17.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game en route to being named the Post Register All-Area Player of the Year.

The Idaho All-First Team selection also led the Knights to a 25-1 record and their second straight Idaho 4A State title. In the 62-58 championship-game victory over Pocatello, Davis finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists while being named the top defensive player during the tournament.

As a sophomore, he led the Knights to their first 4A state title in program history where he was named Most Valuable Player after 18.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. He recorded an 18-point, 15-rebound double-double in the final, after a 23-point, 15-rebound performance in the semifinal against Middleton.
