PROVO, Utah – Following its win over Fresno State on Friday, BYU men’s basketball moved up five spots to 14th in the latest AP Top 25 released on Monday afternoon. The Cougars are also ranked tied for 13th in the USA Today’s Coaches Poll.

The Cougars enter the week at 7-0 and are one of 14 unbeaten teams remaining in NCAA Division I men’s basketball. They have now been ranked 140 times in program history.

With its win over the Bulldogs on Friday, BYU is now 200-73 as a ranked team, including a 8-3 record under the direction of Pope. They are 11-1 all-time ranked 14th including 2-0 record in Provo.

BYU is one of six Big 12 schools in the Top 25, joining No. 2 Kansas, No. 3 Houston, No. 6 Baylor, No. 12 Texas and No. 19 Oklahoma. Arizona moved up to first at 7-0 followed by Kansas, Houston, Purdue and UConn.

BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Tuesday, Dec. 5, when the Cougars host Evansville on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.
