PROVO, Utah –Off to its best start through 11 games since 2010-11, BYU moved up one spot to 17th in the AP Top 25 released on Monday morning. The Cougars are also ranked 15th in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Cougars improved to 10-1 with wins over Denver and Georgia State last week at the Marriott Center. They currently rank in the Top 10 in NCAA Division I men’s basketball in 12 categories, including leading the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio, scoring margin and 3-pointers per game.

 

BYU continues to be one of six Big 12 schools in the Top 25, joining No. 2 Kansas, No. 3 Houston, No. 7 Oklahoma, No. 10 Baylor and No. 19 Texas. Purdue moved back up to No. 1 following its 92-84 victory over No. 4 Arizona on Saturday.

BYU continues its five-game home stand on Friday, Dec. 22, when the Cougars host Bellarmine at the Marriot Center. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.
