No. 14 BYU returns to Marriott Center, hosts Evansville on Tuesday

After two weeks away, No. 14 BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Tuesday, Dec. 5, when the Cougars host Evansville in the first all-time meeting between the two schools.

PROVO, Utah – After two weeks away, No. 14 BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Tuesday, Dec. 5, when the Cougars host Evansville in the first all-time meeting between the two schools. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.

Tuesday’s contest will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ with Dave McCann and Blaine Fowler on the call. It will also be broadcast live on BYU Radio Sirius XM 143, KSL 102.7/1160 AM and BYURadio.org/BYU Radio app with Greg Wrubell and Mark Durrant.


No. 14 BYU Cougars (7-0, 0-0 Big 12)
·      In the first NET rankings of the year, BYU comes in at No. 2 behind fellow Big 12 newcomer Houston. It’s the Cougars highest ranking since reaching as high as No. 9 in Mark Pope’s first season.
·      BYU is one of 14 remaining undefeated teams in NCAA Division I men’s basketball following its 85-56 win over Fresno State on Friday at the Delta Center.
·      Jaxson Robinson scored a career-high 24 points in the win over the Bulldogs connecting on a career-best six 3-pointers. Through seven games, the senior is averaging a team-best 16.6 points per game.

·      The Purple Aces are led by David Ragland, who is no stranger to the Beehive State having spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Utah State (2018-21).
·      Ben Humrichous is the leading scorer of UE as the 6-foot-9 senior is averaging 18.3 points per game. He also ranks eighth in the nation in 3-point percentage shooting 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.
