No. 20 BYU welcomes No. 24 Iowa State to Provo for Top 25 showdown

No. 20 BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Tuesday, Jan. 16, when the Cougars host No. 24 Iowa State in a Top 25 showdown.

PROVO, Utah –  No. 20 BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center on Tuesday, Jan. 16, when the Cougars host No. 24 Iowa State in a Top 25 showdown. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.

Tuesday’s contest will be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ with Shawn Kenney and Bryndon Manzer on the call. It will also be broadcast live on BYU Radio Sirius XM 143, KSL 102.7/1160 AM and BYURadio.org/BYU Radio app with Greg Wrubell and Mark Durrant.


No. 20 BYU Cougars (13-3, 1-2 Big 12)
·      BYU has been ranked in the AP Poll for eight straight weeks as the Cougars dropped two spots to 20th after splitting games against No. 9 Baylor and UCF last week.
·      Aly Khalifa scored a season-high 17 points including three 3-pointers helping BYU pick up its first Big 12 win over UCF on Saturday
·      Trevin Knell ranks first in the Big 12 and seventh in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage as the redshirt junior is shooting 47.0 percent from deep.
·      BYU is 10-7 all-time and 3-1 at home when ranked 20th in the AP Poll.

·      Tamin Lipsey is one of the top guards in the nation leading the Cyclones in scoring (14.8), rebounding (5.6) and assists (5.6).
·      Milan Momcilovic ranks second on the team in scoring as the freshman is scoring 13.3 points per game, shooting 48.7 percent from the floor, 41.3 percent from three and 88.6 percent from the free throw line.
