PROVO, Utah — Sophomore outside hitter Trent Moser of the No. 8 BYU men's volleyball team was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday evening.

Moser led the Cougars through two wins over No. 15 UC Santa Barbara, totaling 36 kills with a .469 hitting percentage. On Friday, Moser produced a career-night with 22 kills on a .439 clip, including a season-high six digs. On Saturday, the sophomore had a season-high .522 clip on 23 swings. Through two matches, Moser averaged 5.14 kills per set.

This is Moser's first career weekly honor from the MPSF, and it is the second badge of the 2024 season for BYU. Junior outside hitter Luke Benson was named Offensive Player of the Week back on Jan. 8.

Last season, BYU achieved Player of the Week status four times, with three coming from middle blocker Teon Taylor and one from outside hitter Miks Ramanis.
