Tidwell Allphin places third at U.S.A. Indoor Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Cierra Tidwell Allphin placed third in the high jump after clearing 1.85-meters/6-0.75 at the U.S.A. Indoor Championships.

Tidwell Allphin cleared 1.73m/5-8, 1.77m/5-9.75 and 1.81m/5-11.25 on her first attempts before clearing her bar of the day at 1.85m/6-0.75 on her second attempt. As the only collegian in the field, the senior earns her first U.S.A. medal.

From Gilbert, Arizona, Tidwell Allphin has won the high jump 32 times in her collegiate career. Most notably, she broke BYU's indoor school record in December of 2023 with a clearance of 1.89m/6-2.5. 

Tidwell Allphin currently ranks No. 5 in the NCAA and No. 2 in the Big 12 conference.
